Hibou Systems
Localization & Authorization System

The Hibou Systems Localization and Authorization System adds spatial context to your workplace. As far as safety is concerned, few technologies compare to full three-dimensional proximity awareness. Information regarding the position of your personnel and equipment in the enabled environment provides a new modality of conducting work safely and efficiently. Objectives such as rapid accountability and intervention, automatic equipment control, security, and simplified lockout procedures are enabled with our ultra wideband (UWB) technologies.

HiboUWB Anchors

The bridge to digital space

The HiboUWB Anchors are small devices fixed to your infrastructure that provide the digital reference points required for intuitive localization. These devices wirelessly communicate with one another and transmit the location of the tracked tags to the central control tablet or computer. Simply place the anchors in convenient locations in your environment and connect them to power. Unlike most localization systems, the devices are not subject to line-of-sight operations so they can be concealed. Once the Anchors are placed, you can create a digital map of your environment to provide context to the user interface.

HiboUWB Tags

Dynamic Devices for Accurate Tracking

The HiboUWB Tags are the tracked devices in the localization environment. They are small battery operated devices carried by personnel or attached to equipment or other assets. The HiboUWB Tags can provide continuous positional information such that they can be tracked in real-time. The Tags are designed to be as minimal as possible while pushing the limits of battery longevity in state-of-the-art localization systems.

HiboUWB Interface

Real-Time Visual Feedback

The HiboUWB Interface is where the real magic happens. The interface is designed to be as intuitive as possible in maintaining spatial awareness of the tracked tags in the environment. Through the interface, staff are able to conduct accountability procedures, manage security and authorization measures, and generate reports and statistics to optimize workplace safety and operating procedures. The application can be ported to mobile devices such as our MPX1 Mapping Tablet, meaning you can gather real-time location information dynamically.

Frequently Asked Questions

The HiboUWB Tag sizes range from slightly thicker credit cards to the size of a USB key. The HiboUWB Anchors are around 40x60x25mm.
Absolutely. Battery life is a function of the update rate. If you require updates only every minute, a few times an hour or less, the Tag batteries can last on the order of days or months.
